Four vehicles were involved in an horrific accident at Pokuase

An horrific accident occurred at the Pokuase overpass on Tuesday, 11th Dec 2024. Which serves as a reminder of the dangers inherent in our increasingly busy roads, particularly when combined with potentially hazardous cargo. The incident, involving four vehicles, unfolded when a Kia Rhino truck laden with precarious piles of roofing sheets, lost control while descending the overpass. The resulting multiple-vehicle collision left a trail of destruction and, we pray, minimal lasting injuries.

The sheer weight and instability of the roofing sheets on the Kia Rhino appear to have been contributing factors. Witnesses report that the truck, seemingly unable to adequately brake while navigating the steep incline of the overpass, careened uncontrollably into oncoming traffic. The impact triggered a chain reaction, involving at least three other vehicles – the exact makes and models of the vehicles involved are yet to be officially released.
